Thank you for your interest in volunteering at TROSA! While there are a variety of ways that we use volunteers, most volunteers start in either our education department or our Thrift Store, and availability varies depending on TROSA’s needs. Volunteers in the education department typically work one-on-one tutoring residents who are studying for their GED or assist in job readiness activities including resume writing and mock interviews.
Volunteers in the Thrift Store can help with general donation sorting or may specialize in an area such as clothing, books/media, housewares, jewelry or electronics. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and all volunteers must complete an application prior to volunteering. If interested in volunteering either by yourself or with a group, please complete the appropriate forms below.
A note about court-ordered community service: At this time, TROSA cannot accept individuals who need to complete court-ordered or court-advised community service. If needing this service, please visit The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center website, which lists opportunities: https://thevolunteercenter.org/community-service/
