Trees from Western North Carolina
TROSA is ready for another festive holiday season with TROSA Christmas trees from Western North Carolina! For over twenty years, TROSA Tree Lots have been a holiday tradition and TROSA’s largest public fundraiser. Our staff and residents pick up Fraser Firs fresh from Western North Carolina.
We are proud and grateful for our continued supply of trees from our Western NC neighbors, and our growers appreciate the partnership, thanking us in particular this year, as the trailers of trees we’re purchasing will have a big impact in helping their community recover from Hurricane Helene.

Fresh Trees from Mountains of Western North Carolina:
Our team always enjoys taking in the beauty of our mountains, sunsets, and forests. “This was such an amazing experience to get the pleasure of going to pick up trees for Tree Lots,” shared senior resident Brandon.
Lifelong Memories
TROSA graduate and staff member John Howard shares, “I enjoy driving to the mountains each year, seeing the beautiful sights.
“When I was a TROSA resident, I enjoyed being on the tree lots and seeing the families with younger children picking out their family Christmas Tree. It reminded me of when I was younger, picking out a tree with my Dad and my brother. Seeing the young kids with their families, knowing they were making pleasant lifelong memories.”
John has a rewarding career at TROSA. “What I like about being staff at TROSA is being a part of something bigger than myself. I like knowing that I am helping the residents achieve a better life. At TROSA Moving I enjoy teaching CDL [Commercial Driver’s License] Class, training the men and women to drive CDL vehicles, and helping them obtain life skills that they can use well beyond TROSA.
“Life today is so much more rewarding. I have found a meaningful purpose here at TROSA. I know that I am making a positive impact on others. I am giving back to the residents what was freely given to me.”
