TROSA graduates are individuals who have completed two years of TROSA’s multi-year treatment program.

To celebrate their achievements, we hold formal graduation ceremonies throughout the year. Graduates who attend our ceremonies invite guests and have an opportunity to share their thoughts, advice, hopes, goals, remembrances, and thanks.

Many graduates referenced the community of support they have built, the confidence gained, the lifelong connections made, and the life skills learned to continue their recovery.

TROSA graduate Alan’s speech referenced the support of staff and how his community assignment at TROSA’s construction department helped shape his recovery. Alan also referenced the friends and connections he made, and how his graduation is just the beginning of a new and better life.

Alan shared:

“Today is more than just a milestone to me. It’s a celebration of strength, resilience and second chances. Standing here now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped me reach this point. To the staff, thank you for your guidance, compassion, and for believing in me, even on days when I didn’t believe in myself. You created a safe space for growth and healing. And that made all the difference.

I could not have been placed in a better place than Construction […] You all knew when I actually needed help, guidance, and support and when I needed to figure things out on my own. Thank you for being the best mentors someone could ask for.

“To my fellow peers…you’ve been my support system, my inspiration, and a reminder that we are never alone in this journey. Thank you for your shared stories, your strength, and your honesty. We lifted each other up and I’m proud of every one of us.

“This graduation isn’t the end. It’s a new beginning. Every day from here on is a choice to live fully with hope and purpose. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and I’m even more excited for what’s ahead.”

Congratulations to all of our graduates!
