Our New Women’s Program Campus

WOMEN'S PROGRAM

New spaces dedicated to TROSA Women's Program

Substance use disorder is a public health crisis. TROSA is an innovative and essential community resource that helps rebuild women’s lives. Our TROSA female residents are resilient, courageous, inspiring, and strong.

On December 2020, we celebrated the opening of our new women’s housing across the street from TROSA’s main campus in Durham. Called T-East campus, these new, beautiful residential and community spaces provide close proximity to our daily program activities while also promoting community and connection within the Women’s Program.

As a cost-free, long-term treatment program, TROSA provides the time, space, and opportunities for individuals to discover their strengths and talents. TROSA’s success is due in large part to the residential nature of our program. We provide a safe community and services at no cost to our residents, allowing them to focus on what’s important—recovery.

Housing for women

Award-winning housing for women!

For many years prior to building T-East, our female residents lived off-campus in a TROSA-owned building in downtown Durham. They traveled to our main campus for classes, medical appointments, counseling, daily program activities, and special events. Opening our T-East campus for TROSA’s Women’s Program directly across from our main campus in Durham was an important moment for our entire community .

In December 2023, we opened the Guilford House Community Center for our female residents. The Community Center is a large, modern gathering hub at our Durham campus, with space for therapeutic groups and classes, communal dining, exercise, and socializing–a space to form the critical friendships and support networks that will help our residents maintain their recovery goals.
